Local Attractions & Map
The Cavern Quarter, the area around the Cavern Walks Shopping Centre, is full of history and culture and, of course, central to the story of the Beatles.
There's the famous Cavern Club, the statue of John Lennon and the the Liverpool Wall of Fame highlighting the names of all the bands who appeared at the club between 1957-1973. There's Mathew Street itself bustling with shoppers, tourists and buskers amongst the bars and cafés.
Inside the Cavern Walks shopping Centre is the original site of the Cavern Stage and in front of this are bronze statues of the Fab Four and the hanging sculptural homage to the pop icons of 1968. Visit the Chantilly Beatles Café and linger for the music and memorabillia and try some Scouse stew.
Close by is the superb shopping area of Lord Street and Liverpool One and if you want to stay longer, around the corner experience the luxury of the Beatles themed hotel, the Hard Days Night Hotel, which also features an innovative restaurant and stylish cocktail bar.
Go exploring further down Mathew St and you'll discover more scultures of the Beatles, the bust of C G Jung, on Harrington Street four metal musical chairs and perhaps you'll also come across Eleanor Rigby sitting alone on Stanley Street.
